This site is maintained by San
Diego lawyer Charles
Hartley to provide resources, news, and links to information
about the legal state of one of California's most precious resources,
its beaches. Beach and coastal access, development, use, property
rights, zoning and environmental quality as they relate to the Pacific
Coast are all important issues for Californians. These issues are
not just important to those who describe themselves as 'beach-loving'
or 'surfers,' but all those who depend on California's strong economy.
The success and utility of this site are dependent on the quality
and timeliness of the information it contains. Contributing to the
Discussion Forum and commenting on the contributions
of others to the forum both go a long way toward the goal of keeping
the site a current and dynamic resource.
Reports of pending litigation and new legislation relevant to the
site are greatly appreciated. Use the Feedback
form or post the topic yourself (anonymously if desired) in the Discussion Forum.
The CBLR would also gladly assist in the promotion of any relevant
Continuing Legal Education (CLE), and the nomination of books to
be included in our souvenir shop would also
be greatly appreciated.
Individuals or firms who wish to volunter their time on a regular basis should make contact. Generous linking, a stylish profile page, and moderator status, as well as the opportunity to host your prepared MCLE materials at this site are all among the possible arrangments that can be made for your invaluable time and expertise. Links from other websites are also greatly appreciated. Please feel free to use this button:

Since this site, like many other things in life, costs money to
operate, purchases through our souvenir shop
(with profits helping to defray costs) would be greatly appreciated.
